Shopping local really does pay. I purchased a new book at InkFish Books and received a free ARC!
My husband has had Mystic Pizza on his mind for sometime now. We managed to find a frozen version at the local market, but it did not kill the desire. We pretty much based this day of staycation around the pizza shop. We ordered ahead for curbside then took it to a Rhode Island library’s park to enjoy it.
We hit up THREE libraries in one day, which lead to buckling in the massive amounts of checkouts we accumulated. Lots of learning ahead. Disclaimer – some of the items are for my parents too!
We also stopped at the Fantastic Umbrella Factory, antique stores and of course, a book store!
We ended the day with Halloween movies and apple nachos!
Funny, I remember hating this book as a young reader. That is probably due to the fact that it was an assignment. I was more excited to read Roald Dahl books! Needed a little magic and fun! As an adult though, I enjoyed the simplicity of the book! I will be sure to write a review HERE.
Moments like this one:
Here is a page from March Book One by John Lewis, Andrew Aydin and Nate Powell
This paper was part of a 12″ x 12″ sheet. I find the colors and patterns are very overwhelming at that size, but as a bookmark, it’s quite charming.
Loved this book!!
Am I the only person who has “to be read” lists everywhere? I have a list at work, I have a list in my library card account online then in my Google Drive and my Amazon wishlist. There are some titles I want to buy and own. There are some I want to read only on my Kindle. Then there are ones that I would only checkout from the library
I have decided the only way to commit to reading them, is to write them down (by HAND)! Pearl doesn’t believe I will ever put a dent in this list.
