Treasures Around the Corner

It always amazes me that I’ve lived in this tiny state my whole life and am still discovering treasures. I am embarrassed to say I never knew there was a natural history and planetarium here! It wasn’t until I started working at the library that I discovered this place. Many libraries have museum passes that can be checked out in order to save money on admission. I noticed this one (Roger Williams Park Natural History Museum & Planetarium) a while back, and have been meaning to go! Well I finally made my way with a friend this past week. WOW. This place is small, but well laid out and FULL of wonderful, priceless resources. This would be great for families. We learned SO much from biology, geography, astronomy and more. I am itching to get back to my library and read some books on all these topics!

I encourage you to wander around your local library. You will be amazed at what you’ll learn.  I may sound like a broken record, but take a break from the crazy world of hate and empower yourself by learning.
